Foxconn Will Stay Put In Telangana: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, has emphasized that Foxconn, a Taiwanese electronics contract manufacturing firm, is firmly established in Telangana and requested that opposition parties refrain from disseminating misleading information about the company.
In response to an inquiry raised by an Assembly member on Tuesday, Minister Sridhar Babu stated: “Please do not spread misinformation regarding Foxconn. It is evident that the company remains in Telangana.”
He further noted that Foxconn is a significant entity with its headquarters in Bangalore and is planning investments in other States across India.
The Minister also indicated that the company aims to make substantial investments in Telangana in the near future and will be making an announcement regarding these investments shortly.
Sridhar Babu condemned the opposition parties for their unfounded assertions regarding the departure of companies, asserting that such claims instil fear and hinder the arrival of new businesses in Telangana.
The Minister noted that the IT sector is driven by talent and indicated that skill training programs are being provided for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and minority groups to facilitate their entry into IT employment.
